The Little Shop Around the Corner was established in 2004 through the efforts of local philanthropist, Evelyn Neumann, in order to raise funds for the Missouri Botanical Garden’s scientific research and daily operation. The Little Shop receives donations year-round and offers clients a tax credit for their generosity. As an antique and resale shop, this is another the garden furthers its mission to reduce, reuse and recycle.

The Little Shop’s items com from all over St. Louis, Missouri as well as the surrounding area. As one of the oldest communities in the Midwest, St. Louis is a treasure trove of unique antiques passed down through generations of local families and The Little Shop features many of these high-quality items in a variety of styles.

The Little Shop offers a wide selection of home decor items; table lamps, chandeliers, vintage rugs and furniture, specializing in Art deco, Victorian, American Primitive and Contemporary style pieces. Because many of these pieces are received from local families, we are often able to offer matching pieces, or, in some cases, complete living room, dining room or bedroom sets of furniture, with a moving service available for convenient pickup and delivery. We offer framed art, in every style imaginable, by well-known artists as well as original works from local artists.

The Little Shop also boasts a large collection of high-quality china and glassware, in complete settings or individual pieces, antique jewelry, as well as popular collectibles, from Hummel and Staffordshire figurines to vintage toys, postcards, travel ephemera and items that simply cannot be easily categorized.

These are all part of The Little Shop’s constantly changing inventory and all the purchases at the shop directly support one of the oldest and most respected institutions in the region, the Missouri Botanical Garden.
